Marques Anderson
Founder, World Education Foundation
Marques Anderson is a world builder, thought leader and Cyborg Anthropologist working in the public and private sector.
Seeking to be globally impactful, Marques created the World Education Foundation in 2009. Through this mission, he has traveled to over 81 countries and developed on-site programs in 21 of those countries. During this time, Marques has gained a plethora of knowledge and expertise at the nexus of indigenous wisdom, modern technology and future communities.
With an RFID chip internally implanted, Marques is a cyborg with a deep passion for ancestral wisdom, recognizing patterns and creating personal and communal transformation in sync with the natural world.
Marques received his Masters from Linköping University in Adult Learning and Global Change. After writing a PhD proposal focused on Cyborg Anthropology, Marques decided to accept an invitation to participate in the Global Solutions Program hosted by Singularity University and NASA. Spawned from that program, Marques became the Founder and CEO of Urban Matrix One, which utilizes satellite technology, unique data sets and machine learning to quantify financial, social and climate related impact for global infrastructure projects.
Marques is a speaker, writer, consultant and entrepreneur currently mobilizing his experience and expertise to help multiple businesses, industries, and communities re-imagine the future. He develops clear strategies and frameworks to approach complex challenges and articulate purpose driven solutions through keynotes and client sessions.
Marques has consulted for global organizations, including multiple Fortune 500 companies, and currently sits on the board of EatReal, TomorrowLife and HATCH Montana.
After choosing to leave a career as an elite athlete in the NFL, Marques has inspired others to live their truth through the Power of the Pivot. Through his journey he has embodied resilience, focus, sacrifice and discipline to become a leader in multiple fields.
